The Oklahoma House of Representatives on Monday approved legislation that would offer free cancer screenings to all Oklahoma firefighters.
House Bill 3573, authored by Rep. Daniel Pae, R-Lawton, would cover screenings for lung, prostate, testicular, skin, colon and breast cancers for all firefighters, including volunteer firefighters.

Three children and two adults died after a school bus collided with a semitruck on U.S. Route 24 in Illinois on Monday, authorities said.
The fatal collision between the school bus and the semitruck carrying sand happened on the highway at 11:30 a.m., local time, in Rushville, Illinois State Police said during a press briefing.

Fire crews from across Steuben County are on the scene of a major fire in the village of Bath. Officials say the fire was under control as of 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Emergency calls began coming in around 9PM Monday, for a fire at 36 Delaware Avenue, locally known as the former Babcock Ladder Company. The building is currently operated by Clark Specialty, an equipment manufacturer.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A West Warwick fire engine crashed through a station on Sunday. Officials said no one was hurt.
Station 2, located at 834 Main St., was roped off with crime scene tape.
According to West Warwick Battalion Chief Eric Norberg a door on the side of the truck popped open as the fire engine was leaving the station on a call.

PHOTOS: Crews responded to a warehouse that was engulfed in flames Sunday afternoon, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District announced. The warehouse is located at 1200 4th St. where heavy smoke was seen coming out of the building’s roof.
The warehouse was vacant at the time of the fire, officials said.

VIDEO: The Ishpeming City Fire Department is trying to track down an antique fire truck it had decades ago.
The department traded in its 1951 Pirsch Pumper in 1995 for a truck the department still uses today. According to Ishpeming City Fire Chief Jason Annala, the truck changed hands several times until it was sold online in 2018 on the Fenton Fire Equipment website.

Raleigh is disciplining an unknown number of firefighters after a local rapper filmed a music video at Raleigh Fire Station 12. The city previously said it was investigating after the rapper known as CEO Shoutoutt filmed his “Fire Drill” freestyle rap in front of the station on Poole Road.
On Thursday, a group that represents local firefighters said those involved had been disciplined and that the group was looking into the matter.

Fire crews responded to the large building along Sykes Lane in Monroe Township, before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Crews closed a portion of East 55th Street in Cleveland early Thursday morning due to an overnight fire at a building on Lake Court.
3News' Austin Love reported live from the scene all morning where the flames have since been extinguished. We're told 11 fire companies responded to the incident. While nobody was hurt, the building's roof reportedly collapsed.

A museum documenting the history of the Harrisonburg Fire Department is now equipped with a video tour led by the agency's long standing leader.
On July 4th, 1944, an ice delivery truck had a short in its wiring, causing a vehicle fire. Another day, an oil stove blew up, causing over $1,500 in damage.
