Detective suing deputies after a friendly fire incident, claims they weren't concerned with safety

A National City police detective who was shot in the leg by friendly fire during a car-theft operation last year is suing the county and the two sheriff's deputies who opened fire, alleging the deputies "were not concerned with the safety of law enforcement officers on scene or bystanders when they fired their weapons."

Firefighters claim they let stripper ride in fire truck because "she persisted"

Nearly seven months after the San Jose Fire Department began an investigation into why firefighters allowed a bikini-clad woman in heels to join them for a ride-along near a strip joint, the fire chief said in a memo to the City Council that the crew had allowed the woman to ride inside the firetruck because "she persisted."
